Corey Giesey

Corey Giesey is a painter currently based in Morehead City, North Carolina. Born and raised in Southeastern Ohio, a 2011 move with his wife and two boys to the coast re-ignited a lifelong passion for art. His love for the outdoors and the coastal environment became the muse for many early works. Working mostly with acrylics, Corey has also experimented with surfboard art, murals and wood carving. A mix of bold color, high detail and emotion brings subject matter that focuses on marine life, portraits, wildlife and abstracts to life. Corey’s style continues to evolve as he draws inspiration from his environment as well as other artists like, Drew Brophy, Peter Terrin, Carey Chen and Ed Anderson. Corey’s works have been represented in shows and galleries in the Coastal Carolinas. The practice of daily painting drives his growth as an artist. ~
